Workspace Sanctuary ??Tidy life, Tidy Mind. Or so they say….
We believe it!
If my desk is de-cluttered and clean, and if my office/home as a whole is organised, I work in a far more efficient way.
My productivity increases, my ideas flow better, and my dogs are less likely to start chewing something distracting me if everything is put away in its rightful place. ?What does your workspace look right now?
I don’t just want you to make a decision if it looks tidy, but is everything you have even necessary?
Ladies, I know stationery is like drugs to most of us, but most of bits and bobs you need on a desk, are actually on your desktop, online.
Using online systems will keep you far more clutter free, and this will allow a lot more creativity into your head.
If it needs sorting, sort it. Throw away what you don’t need and tidy away what you do. And I just want to point out at this stage that if you don’t even have a dedicated workspace, you need one. If you don’t have a room to call an office I’m ok with that, but I do think you need a desk area, somewhere so when you’re in that space you automatically get in your “Work Zone”. ?When in doubt, throw it out!
Get rid of all those bits of paper, why do even keep shuffling them all from place to place anyway/ are you ever intending on sitting down and reading them all again? ?
If the answer to that is “yes” that’s cool – here’s my top tip! ?CamScanner App – Take a photo on this app and save all your paperwork that way, then proceed to pop everything into the bin. This app is brilliant for storing scanned copies of your ID as well, so if you are ever asked to provide it, you already have it stored in your phone to email over.
The best rule for keeping on top of this newly organised space is to live by the rule – clean it before you leave it. That way you never have to go through this process again. ?So get to it – I’m on the case as well, when you’re done hashtag #FSNtribe on Instagram with a photo of your beautiful, shiny, sparkly workspace where you will be spending time with me, getting your sh*t together.
